Hi. I'm a International Freshman applicant (Indian living in Dubai, UAE) currently studying in an Indian Curriculum (CBSE) school, applying for the fall 2014 session (major - Mechanical Engineering). I was planning on applying early to GATech (before Oct 15) but sadly can't because of low scores in my 1st term exams of grade 12. I would really like to know how much of a difference would applying for Regular Decision make to my chances at GATech, because it's my dream University.
Specifics :
SAT : 2190 (660CR, 800M, 730 W)
CGPA : 10/10 (Grades 9&10)
88.12% in Grade 11 (No CGPA system for 11th)
Trying really hard for a 92-93% + for mid terms of 12th.
Got lots of ECs including leadership posts like President- Student Council
Essays are also pretty satisfactory, at least to me.
Would REALLY appreciate some help on this matter! :)

Georgia*, Sorry for the typo
Bump! Bump!

Overall admission rate is about 51% (which includes EA about 14,645 applicants ). For EA only it’s about 61% (8,344 applicants ).

OP, I would say that GA Tech is a safety for you. You could even apply to the top 5 public schools.

I’m also interested in Georgia Tech. I would say its a safety or low match for you. The 800 math section really helps.

Thanks!
