What are my chances to get in at UCLA for Physics?

GPA unweighted 3.52
GPA weighted 3.87
Have a good upward curve, started off lazy and dropped levels freshman year but I’ve picked it back up since then starting sophomore year.

AP Chemistry, Govt, Micro econ, Macro econ, and Psych. (Not many others offered)

ACT:
Composite - 31
English - 33
Math - 29
Reading - 27
Science - 33

I have a lot of good volunteer work from missions trips to food pantries. (5-10 hr / wk since high school started, on and off).

I have worked the same job about 20 hr/wk since late sophomore year.

I started a Science Club at my school senior year and run it. I have also been the lead student athletic trainer since freshman year and am an ambassador for my school (do volunteer work inside school).

I have taken free physics classes at Fermilab twice now.

I am a MENSA member.

My brother and father both went there.

What are my chances? I know my GPA and math especially don’t look too great.

UC GPA? http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
Legacy is not considered for UC admissions.

Yeah that’s UC GPA

Your UC GPA is below the average and your ACT score is above the average for UCLA. I would say 50/50 chance taking into account only your Academics. EC’s and essays may give you the boost you need, but too subjective to make a guess.

Good Luck.

Thank you!

I just recalculated my UC GPA and it’s actually 3.73

I think you have a very low chance because of your GPA, but definitely doable with great essays.

Your GPA is rather low…but now you can only wait and see.
