To clarify, I mean UNC-Chapel Hill. I’m pretty sure you guys already knew that though.

I guess I’ve gotten all the answers available haha. Thanks!

Your unweighted GPA is at least somewhat low for unc and your weighted GPA, IF you get to 4.5, will be on the average for last year’s class! Decisions for admission are always based on the weighted GPA, so your rank of 9/355 is great; your unweighted rank of 45/355 is outside the 10% mark so it’s a good thing they’ll focus on the weighted rank. You need to load up on Honors and AP classes and they’ll end up checking your mid-year grades in the senior year so push like crazy for As in each class, 'cause they look at that stuff! And you should prolly focus much less on any of your ec stuff and instead throttle up on the school work.

Good luck.

I think you have a really good shot since your in state. Your gpa is a little on the low side and your extracurriculars are a little weak, but if you do good on the ACT/SAT, then you should be fine. Just work on bringing up that GPA.

Alright thank you so much for the answers, I’ve been stressing out since my ACT is tomorrow and I’m only averaging around a 32-33 on the Practice test (I want a 34+) so wish me luck! :)

remember 1 EC may be better than 100.

College admissions aren’t so excited when they see another EC junkie that joins every single club in the school. They know you did it for college purposes.

They wan’t to see if you are dedicated and passionate about the EC you participate in. So just throwing a bunch won’t make you any better or competitive.

p.s don’t take it as a insult or whatever, but I noticed it because it seems like you are trying to do to much to impress them, yet you don’t do any of them for yourself!

Yeah thats kind of true haha, although I do really like the clubs I’m in. (Guitar club was for fun, JOOI and Key Club were for fun as well. FBLA is the only one I did for College, although I probably won’t put that on my application). Is there anything else I can do?

Also: I’ve played guitar for 5 years, Piano for 3, and I’ve been singing for 1. I think this would look well and can replace the sports activities I’m lacking. Is this the case/Does UNC look up to this stuff?

Six consecutive bumps, man. Give it a rest. No one’s opinion here will change anything.

My apologies, I just had a different question and did not want to start an entirely new thread on something that pertains to an already created thread. I must have gotten carried away. As my username might suggest, I really want to go to UNC.

I’d say if you get a good SAT and raise your GPA you should get in
