<p>I know this question probably gets asked very frequently, as it's a very pressing issue for most people going to college. I just want to know if I need to do anything else in order for me to have a good shot at UNC</p>

ACT: Not taken yet
EC: Volunteered at the food bank

Trying to get a Debate team up and running, in which I would be president
I've taken 4 AP Classes
Sophomore:
AP Psych (Passed W/ A, 4 on the Exam)
Junior:
AP English (Still taking, Est. B)
APES (Passed W/ A)
AP Euro (Still taking , Either a B or A)</p>
<p>So how much of a shot do I have right now and what else do I need to do to increase my chances?</p>
<p>I’d improve that GPA. Get it up to a 3.8 or higher. I’m talking unweighted.
Try to get a 2100+ SAT or a 33+ ACT</p>
<p>Then do the normal things…
Show leadership
Have one athletic activity
Write a great application with great essays
Take AP classes in senior year.</p>
<p>If you raise your regular grades and also get your SAT to the top of UNC’s range, you’re in very good shape in my opinion.</p>
<p>But I have heard that UNC is being very unpredictable in recent years.</p>
<p>Well I just took a trip to UNC for an information trip and they told me that EC’s are the most important things, and that GPA/Rank is almost useless so long as you took hard classes and did well in them. If there is anyone that got into UNC, can you please direct to the faults in my r</p>
