what are my chances -- transfer student

Hi,

I am currently a freshman looking to transfer to USC. I spent my first semester at Indiana University, and currently are at my local community college for second semester.

some stats:

High School GPA: 3.5
ACT Score: 30
SAT Score: 1800
Extracurriculars: Football, Wrestling, Co-Editor High School newspaper, performed in several theatre productions, member of Mock Government, chair of homecoming committee for Student Council

Indiana GPA: 3.46
Classes Taken: Intro to Fiction, Arabic, Intro to Mass Comm, Research Techniques for Journalists

Projected Community College GPA: 3.2-3.5
Class: Psychology, Statistics, Creative Writing, Earth Science

i'd like to think i'm a good writer so even though i didnt spend that much time on the essays i thought they were good. my letters of recommendation were from two professors from Indiana: the head of the Arabic program and a Ph.D candidate who taught my Fiction course.

I'm just trying to see if my stats match up with others who applied/transfered. i don't have many extracurriculars for this year due to my short amount of time at each school

you can private me if you want.

Cheers!

hmmm well your GPA shows a downward trend (from HS until cc), colleges in general will not look at that favorably unless you have a legitimate excuse, and you explain it in some area of your app. Also, what is your major?
