SAT II - US Hist 750, Bio M 750, Math level 2 800 </p>
<p>Violin 8 years, Asian, Northern CA.</p>
<p>Would like to major in Neuro biology + Comp Sci</p>
<p>I am also keen on Columbia, JHU, UC Berkley, UCLA but looking at U Chicago for my early app.</p>

<p>Your ECs are fairly standard (as compared to most Asians). You will be compared to other asians who are applying. No doubt your GPA and SATs are good, but they will likely only take a few dozen kids from California. What makes you stand out? I honestly can’t see anything</p>
<p>My wife went to U Chicago and hated it. Its a pressure cooker. Think twice</p>
<p>Go for it. Just make sure to put intellectual energy and time into your essays. your stats look fine</p>
<p>Thanks everyone for your responses so far. When we visited Chicago, they said that the only aid they offer is need-based. My parents’ income disqualifies me for any need-based aid. </p>
