What Are My Chances? UC's, other CA schools & NY schools

i am applying to the following schools. can you please tell me my chances at as many of them that you can? thanks in advance.

California state schools:
-University of California, Santa Barbara
-University of California, San Diego
-San Diego State University
-University of California, Davis

New York state schools:
-State University of New York at Buffalo
-State University of New York at Albany
-Oswego State
-Fredonia State
-Plattsburgh State

private schools in California:
-University of San Francisco
-University of San Diego

private schools in New York:
-Syracuse University
-Ithaca College
-New York University

here are my grades, test scores, & extracurriculars:

grades:
i have all B's in the hardest classes (AP or honors) and occasionally got A's and C's. i think my GPA is a 3.5-ish, unweighted. i took AP US History last year and this year i am taking 3 AP's: AP Statistics, AP English, & AP US Government.

SAT's:
Math- 540
Verbal- 560

SAT II's:
History- 600
Writing- 700
Math- 500 (ouch!)

AP tests:
History- 5

extracurriculars:
far too many to list... but i'll try...
-i have volunteered in political campaigns and for various charities
-debate club
-model congress
-literary magazine
-business club
-worked at an accounting firm during tax season
...it's late and i don't feel like listing any more.

i want to do a double major in marketing & journalism, if that matters. my top choices are NYU, Syracuse, & any of the UC schools (but i'll have a harder time getting into those cuz i'm not from California).

thanks again for your time.

bump

anyone? my chances at any of the colleges? please?

Happy Thanksgiving!

** bump **

not nyu or cuse
all ny state schools, except maybe not buff
you'll get into the CA San Diego schools

ooo thanks!!

i think u could get into syracuse..i dont know about nyu..

i just talked to someone who got into NYU with a GPA of 3.4 and 1200 on their SAT's, so it there's hope for me. NYU looks at other factors (EC's, other circumstances) more than most colleges do. the girl i talked to had a weird combination of EC's.

if i get into Syracuse, it will probably be the College of Arts and Sciences b/c it's the least selective. i'm also applying to the Whitman School of Managment and the Newhouse School of Communications. you're allowed to apply to many as you want at Syracuse (not the case with NYU-- you have to choose ONE).

15 schools? wow thats like 6 big ones. no intention on being hurtful, but with your scores, your setting your self up for a beating. with 3.5 gpa and 1100 sats, i think your aiming too high.

well i have outstanding EC's and awards...

also, forgot to mention that i was ill in 10th grade and that caused my grades to suffer. otherwise, my GPA should have been around a 3.7, and my guidance counselor wrote a letter specificially saying that.

the thing i hate about the "what are my chances thing" is that you don't know until you apply. it's more than just grades. no one here is in the admissions offices of any of the colleges. my friend's brother got into Harvard, but he got rejected at the University of New Hampshire (a so-so state school). go figure.

no no wait... a 3.5 unweighted isn't bad at all. it's a B+/A- and my weighted GPA is like a 4.2 or 4.3 cuz i took all honors and AP's wtf

new york city..it seems though as if..you already know whats going on..where you can get in/not get in..soo now you're kind of on the defense..because now you're trying to prove that your good enough to cc students..but you know if you really know whats going on..this post isnt necessary..i could be wrong..

well i mainly did this post because i was wondering how my low SAT scores would affect my chances. i'm saying that a 3.5 is NOT a bad GPA and i probably have a chance due to my GPA and EC's but like i said, i dunno about the test scores and how much colleges really care. i don't think you can know for sure.

sorry i think i did this wrong- i should have specifically asked about how low SAT's would affect my chances.
