I'm a Chinese immigrant (read: non-native English speaker) but I was the first in the family to immigrate, so I have 'first in the family to attend college' status. I also have ADHD, depression, anxiety, learning disabilities and was autistic as a child, and currently attend a lower-ranking inner city high school. I have only been suspended once.
The colleges to which I'm applying are Cooper Union and CUNY Honors.
So... WHAT ARE MY CHANCES, Y'ALL?
P.S. Which colleges have the best Asian fraternities, sororities and parties?

I'm not good at chances, but judging by Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, Princeton seems to have some pretty good Asian parties.

If it's Engineering, you'll get into Cooper Union, but if you don't get over all that mental stuff, get some happy pills, or whatever, you'll probably fail out or leave.

lol at Odan.

Yeah Odan it was a movie they of course are gonna make that stuff seem better than it is lol

Why engineering? I'm applying for architecture because more drawing + less math= happy fuzzy (not a math person because I got 600 on 2C). BTW thanx for the tip about Princeton. I used to think it was a white kids' school (not racist but that's what I heard).

Because I am an engineering student and only really know how it is in the engineering school. Also most people asking around on these things are going for engineering...

Getting into architecture is ROUGH. Admissions rates are around 4% and 5%. Your grades are right and your SAT is above average for the Architecture school but they are not anywhere near as important as your home test.

I know very little of how it is if you get in.

My home test is goin' into the mail as we speak. We'll see. Do you know any architecture kids at all? Where do they hang out, 'cos I'm always milling around St. Mark's (gotta love Joe's Records' $3.99 rack and large prog metal selection) and I just see engineering and art kids. BTW does your school have good Asian frat parties? And will my disability status facilitate/impede their decision at all?

There's very few architecture students, maybe around 125 total I think, and as far as I know a lot of them get very busy with their work. So I don't really know what they do with their time as a group.

I have one good friend who is an architect. If you want I can ask her if she will answer your questions better than I can.

There are no Asian fraternities or sororities. You have to consider it's a small school, only a certain fraction is Asian, and only a certain fraction of people would want to be in a frat. The population even works out so that I don't think you could even really have an "Asian party" or a "White people party". The only thing that really matters in who comes to a party is the school and the year - so we had a sophomore engineering party about a week ago and the people who came centered around that group. (But no one really made an effort to spread the word to the other schools, against my advice.)

I don't know anything for your last question.
