Do you think I have a chance of getting into Columbia with a 1870 SAT score but a 3.9 GPA in IB, Student Government, Captain of Soccer, musician, homecoming princess, and I do mission work in Cambodia and community service locally and I am a minority? I just want to know my chances. I personally think I wrote a really nice essay and I think my interview went really well, but I just don't know. I just kind of want some feedback. My SAT score is the weakest part of my app but everything else is strong.

It’s pretty difficult to predict chances, especially on these threads. However, if you look at the results thread, you will see that there ARE people who got into Columbia with SAT scores similar to yours as well as a handful of 2300’s that got rejected. So if you’re sure you want to go to Columbia, just apply. Don’t worry about chances. Good Luck!

I agree with awkwardhamsty and good luck, but please tell me you didn’t put homecoming princess on your app…

Yeah I’m in the same predicament. I am valedictorian at a pretty top notch public school, a 3.99(1 B+) and around 5 Ap’s. Good recs, and extracurriculars, but only a 2050 SAT (solid satii scores though)

I’m taking it again next week since columbia accepts January scores. Hopefully I can add 100-150 points to even be considered somewhat competitive.

Anyways. It never huts to apply and considering its 2 weeks from that moment, i hope you did
