Northwestern is my top choice and has been since my freshman year. I've visited once but plan to visit twice more this year. Went to their informational meeting at my school and am going to another one in a week at a local hotel.
I'm applying ED as well.

Sorry this is a lot! Lol
Thanks!

Class rank: top 25%

Gosh forgot a couple of things:
Attend a pretty good public school in southeastern Michigan.
Applying to school of Communications for communication studies at NU.
They don’t really do interviews but when I visited my 10th grade year I met with the film production counselor and talked with her.

Also applying to American, USC, UC-Berkeley, UofM and NYU.

How competitive is your school? Does your school send 10+ graduates to ivy league/ top 20 schools each year?

^If that’s not the case, then your class rank is really low; that will hurt you a lot. ACT score is low too, you want at least a 33+. Right now, even ED, your chances are looking pretty low at Northwestern, but you have extensive EC’s in theater, that could help you, depending on how NU views it.

Of the other schools, the only ones I see you getting into is American and probably UMich (Umich or U of minnesota)? USC and NYU are low-reach to reach schools and UCberkeley is about as competitive as Northwestern.

I’d say my school definitely sends 10+ to ivies, I know of people graduating this year going to Harvard and a lot of people going to brown.
Yeah I’d say for a public school it’s pretty competitive.
My school doesn’t actually rank–but this is what the state-wide ACT sent me back for rank.
I’m doing my very best to get my ACT up, I have special accommodations due to learning disability, so realistically I think I could get it up to a 33 at most. Would that be enough?

And yes I mean UMich.
Thank you!

33 would help a lot.

Getting your ACT up is a must, and while your gpa is on the lower end, if you right solid essays, I like your chances
