I am currently a sophomore in high school (I live in Conroe TX, if that matters at all) and I want to become a doctor when I'm older. I'm not sure what I'll specialize in yet but I'm leaning towards psychiatry. My dream school is Stanford but I would also love to go to Rice University or University of California-Berkeley (I'm also considering some northeastern schools like Johns Hopkins even though I can't really see myself living somewhere like that :P) Could anyone please let me know what my chances are to getting into any of these schools?

GPA: 4.0 unweighted

PSAT: 176 freshman year and 201 this year; I'm hoping I'll get National Merit next year

SAT: 1830; I know that's really low for the schools I'm looking at but this was the first time I took it at the beginning of my sophomore year and I didn't study at all becase I wanted to see what my best/worst subjects were. I'm planning on taking it another 2-3 times

SAT Subject: none yet

Courses: All Pre-AP/Honors and AP (the only level courses I've taken so far are theater and debate and I'm taking P.E. senior year). I've gotten mid to low A's in all of these.

Extracurriculars: Debate, Interact, HOSA, Student Council and in the future Spanish Honor Society and National Honor Society (I'm planning on running for secretary of Debate and Student Council next year and president or vice presidentr of HOSA). In HOSA, I placed at regionals and am moving on to state where I'm confident I will place and go to nationals.

Community Service/Job experience: I've volunteered at an animal clinic during summer/winter/spring break for the past two years and I now work there during school breaks. I'm planning on volunteering at a hospital this summer. I've done a bunch of odd volunteer jobs around school in the last couple years but I'm not sure about the amount of hours. I'm also set to do an internship this summer and next (not sure who with yet)

Not sure if it matters, but my mom is a single parent and we are low income (putting it lightly). I am a first generation college student.

Sorry if this was too much or too little information :( This is the first time I've done this
