GPA: 4.29 weighted and 3.69 unweighted
At the end of Junior Year I will have taken 6 APs including, Calculus, Statistics, Physics, English Language, Latin, and Macroeconomics.
I am the top 5% of my class, but I have a lot of Bs, but GPA is high because of my intense rigor. I play three varsity sports, and was capt. of 2/3 as a Junior. I tutor kids for 3 hrs/week, and I work for NASA during the summer.

I have a 2120 SAT score, and I plan on taking it again in the Fall.

What are my chances at schools like:
UPenn
Yale
Tufts
Wash. U St. Louis
USC
UMichigan
Wisconsin-Madison.

I am an overachiever who gets lazy and doesn't follow through hence the multiple Bs. High School Recommendations will show that I am a smart kid put into a wrong environment. What are my chances?

your weighted GPA is ridiculously high given your unweighted o.o

I think for the really top colleges the unweighted is a little low and may leave you fighting an uphill battle. Fighting an uphill battle with Ivies/similar with grades is not good although your courses are very rigorous and will mitigate that alittle. Your ECs are good but to stand out from everyone else you have to make sure you describe them in a way that shows ohw they affected you

“I am an overachiever who gets lazy and doesn’t follow through hence the multiple Bs. High School Recommendations will show that I am a smart kid put into a wrong environment.” isn’t a promising description though. what will colleges think if you get put in their environment??

Yale - high reach
UPenn - reach
Tufts - reach
Wash. U - reach
USC - low reach/high match
UMichigan - low reach/high match
Wisconsin - low match

^dont 100% agree. 3.69 is a bit low for top notch colleges like Yale, WashU, Penn, Tufts, and USC. You’ll have to raise it to a 3.75-3.8 to have a better chance at acceptance. WashU isnt worth it unless you want to go their, because they will reject/ waitlist you. your ECs arent too great either… YOu only have 5? So Yale, WashU, Penn, Tufts = Reach-High Reach and Mich, USC is a low Reach while UW is a match.

I have more ecs, they include tutoring a kid with brain cancer for two hours on the weekends, Habitat for Humanity, Volunteering at the Observatory, Student Government, Model UN, Mock Trial and Latin Club.

Other than raising grades, is there something else I can do? Thank you for your help! Much Appreciated!

I think you could get into some of those schools. like wisconsin maybe wash-u and michigan. But your GPA is a little low for schools like Yale and Upenn. Yours EC’s are very awesome by the way! Thats awesome how your a captain of 2 sports! You might be able to get into them with awesome essays! Im sure you can get ino a couple of those schools reply to my post if you dont mind as well good luck!!
