Hey everyone! I am applying to colleges, and I have been accepted to a couple, but I am waiting to hear back from the rest.
My stats:
EC: Not many, but I was on the Sparring Team with TaeKwonDo for a year and a half. I am on the Knowledge Bowl team at my school.
ACT: I got a 27 Composite, a 32 in English, a 26 in Reading, a 26 in Math, and a 25 in Science. I know it's bad, but oh well.
GPA: 3.1 as of now. (Bad freshman and Sophomore year, but I have an upward trend.) My school only does unweighted GPA's.
Class rank: 215/558
I had a job at Burger King for a couple of months.
I took Honors Humanities and Honors English Sophomore year. I took APUSH and AP Lang. Junior year. I am taking AP Physics B, AP US Government, and AP Lit. Senior year along with College in the High School Precalculus and College in the High School Spanish this year.
I am applying to the following colleges:
UCLA (I know this is a reach, but this has been my dream school since sixth grade, so don't be too harsh.) - I have not heard back.
Penn State University - I have not heard back. My alternate campus is Altoona.
Rutgers University - I was already accepted to their Premed program in Chemistry.
Auburn University - I was accepted for their Electrical Engineering program.
Virginia Tech - I am applying as a Chemistry major.
Purdue University - I am applying as a Chemistry major.
Washington State University - I was accepted into their Electrical Engineering program.
Colorado School of Mines - After they received my ACT score, they waived my application fee, so I applied.
Thank you! I know that my ACT score is average, and my GPA sucks, but I can't do anything about it now. My GPA has gone up quite a bit from Freshman year.

Yes you are right about your ACT and GPA being low but don’t lose hope… First, you have been accepted to some schools so congratulations! But really you should try to write killer essays because state schools like PSU are really tough out of state which is surprising because in state it is fairly easy. Emphasize your upward trend I suppose… Chance me please

Haha, don’t worry, my essays were pretty good. I was happy with them, and my AP Lit. teacher proofread them and said he was happy with them as well.
