Hi, I was wondering what my chances were getting into OU?

I have a 3.6/3.7 GPA (unweighted) with a 22 ACT.

I'm not a good test taker... but I have a decent GPA.. I'm really scared that I will not get in due to my ACT score being very low. I do have a lot of extracurricular activities and been active in many clubs. Additionally, I have done many sports. I talked to my counselor and she said that I have a chance of getting in; however, I believe these stats are low. Do I have any chances of getting in? Thank you in advance.

You definitely have a chance of getting in. As long as your GPA is based upon a challenging course load you should be OK. The ACT is a bit on the low side for the ‘average’ student at the school. However, it is of lower importance than GPA and course load according to OU.

That is good to hear. I go to a school that offers IB, so all my courses are IB.
I’m about to take my ACT in October. Will my chances increase if I score a 23 or 24 on it?

Where are you from? If you’re from Oklahoma, you’re more likely to get in. I think you stand a good shot now, however increasing your ACT to a 24 or higher will very nearly guarantee you acceptance here.
