What are my chances?

I went to a really hard private school sophmore year, my gpa was 3.2
I’m currently taking ap, honors, and IB courses at a public school and my current gpa is 3.6 (unweighted). It’s not on my transcript because I still have to take midterms. Freshman year my gpa was 3.4 (unweighted), took almost all honors classes
my total cumulative gpa is about a 3.3 right now (not very good)
I’m a junior, this is my first semester.

Extracurriculars:
-varsity cross country and track since freshman year
-went on a state department funded trip (i had to apply for it). when we came back, we had to do a project. i did a stream clean up
-certified yoga teacher
-Went to global youth village
-model un

Other things:

  • i used to have some disabilities (would rather not mention them) which is why my gpas freshman/sophmore year arent as high as they should be. Now they are both under control.
-my dad went to this college

I would love to go here, but i know that my gpa right now isn’t high enough. i was wondering how much higher i could get my gpa. also, i was wondering if i should consider this as my reach school? Basically, what are my chances of getting into this school?

idk if this counts for extracurriculars, but i also did more than 100 ssl hours.

UC’s use only 10-11th grades for the a-g course requirements for their GPA calculation. http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
You get 8 extra honors points for UC approved Honors/AP/IB or DE courses to be added to your UC GPA…

The Freshman profile for 2015 was average UC GPA of 4.13. SAT average: 2035 and ACT: 30. To be a competitive applicant, you want to be at or above the average.

The most important thing you can do is work on your GPA, but you also need to have competitive test scores, so look at some prep classes before testing. I would try both SAT and ACT this year and focus on the one test with the highest result. Try to have all your testing done by early fall prior to applying.

Continue with EC’s and look for some leadership positions.

Good Luck.
