What are my chances?

ACT: 21
GPA: Sadly, very low: 2.8 unweighted (Embarrassing, I know.)

I am involved in a lot of volunteering and EC’s
Giving back to the community is basically what I contribute throughout my whole high school career.

LMU’s average GPA is 3.75 and 25th percentile for ACT is 25. LMU is a Reach.

If you are a California resident, consider some of the non-impacted Cal States: Dominguez Hills, Bakersfield, East Bay and Channel Islands.

Do you think I would have a chance if I retook the act and get a 25 ? Plus, schedule and interview with them ?

Even with an ACT score of 25, your UW GPA is very low in comparison with the average. If you look at the common dataset for LMU, only 2.81% of enrolled applicants had a GPA between 2.50-2.99 and you can pretty bet these are applicants with hooks: recruited athletes, legacy, special talents etc…

See Common dataset link C11: http://academics.lmu.edu/media/lmuacademics/strategicplanningacademiceffectiveness/officeofinstitutionalresearch/documents/CDS_2015-2016%20for%20publication%20updated%205.17.16.pdf

You need to find schools where your stats are at or above the 50th percentile for any solid chance.

To be honest, look at the non-impacted CSU’s if you are a California resident or consider attending a community college for 2 years, get a great GPA and prove that you can handle college level and transfer to your choice college.
