i’m a rising senior looking to apply to drexel’s 4 year nursing program, fall 2018. this is my profile:

-officer of best buddies in my high school
-1400 verified hours of community service
-member of hosa, stuco, model un, nhs, asl honor society, and miracle league
-3.5 unweighted gpa
-1250/1600 SAT
also, I work 3 days a week.
do you think this is enough to get me in? I know the nursing program is more competitive. Thanks
Hey!
From what I said in an earlier post,
"Don’t worry about stats. A lot of other things can help you. I know someone who got in with a 1560/2400 SAT. I know another person who got in with an unweighted GPA of around 2.9 … It really depends on the combination of many factors. "
But to satisfy your statistical enquiry incase you have one, Drexel’s middle range for SAT scores is about 1150-1360 for the class admitted to Fall 2016, according to the College Board website. So you’re in the middle 50% range (of your SAT score alone).
To get you in, well your admissions officers have to be done reading through all your essays, recommendations, extracurricular activities, and high school transcript to decide on whether or not you’re going to be admitted.
Advice:
Don’t worry too much about it.
Take a subject test or two relating to your field if you think it’ll help you, and you think you’ll do well on them.
Retake the SAT if you can and see if you get a higher score. Or take the ACT and see if you do better on it.
Remember, if you can’t retake the SAT or take any other test, you’re still in a good enough position to be considered.
