Hi! I am in my third semester in my sophomore year and college is really making me anxious. My parents want me to go to a really good uni (USC, NYU, Vanderbilt etc) and I want to know my chances. My current gpa is 95.400 and I got 1210 in the psat. As for my ECs, I literally don’t have anything. My family migrated here in 2017 and I haven’t fully adjusted yet. The only thing that I have is the HOBY seminar and NHS. Is that even good enough??

Not really… but you have a lot of time to change that! Your grades are fine. Standardized testing (SAT, ACT) should probably be the biggest worry. You’ll need good scores to have your application considered.
Then, ECs. The easiest thing is to join a specific area club (Red cross for premed, NSHS for linguistics), which you should definitely do. If you’re interested in writing, look at a few major writing competitions (Scholastic gold key, NCTE, etc). If you’re interested and good at science, try to qualify for the olympiads or go to a science fair. HMU with your area of interest and I’ll give you a list of suggestions!
Honestly though, your grades are good enough to get you into a great university. Don’t stress. Also fyi, I’m just a sophomore so… don’t take this for the onlt thing ever
