I also applied to Yale, Harvard, Dartmouth, U Penn, Duke, and Stanford.

are u applying rd or ed?

great chances, just have good brown essays

I'm applying Regular Decision and to the PLME.

dang you scare me

scares me too

haha how do u mean?

oh plme changes things...just write kickass essays and it's still a huge tossup

"haha how do u mean" ??? Look at your stats!

Pretty great stuff there.

this is all horrifying, especially considering that you have a good shot at getting rejected

are you submitting a piece to the music department? that would probably raise your chances

I'm going to try to send a music supplement in, but it will probably be past the deadline. (my counselor thinks this is a good idea because it will make them open up my file again for new information)

i am just wondering, is that all of your extra curriculars?
because i'm not sure you have enough.

funny,

anyone else?

bump......

Someone is spending a little too much time in the house on weekends haha. Nah, but I honestly don't know your chances...everyone that goes to Brown is rediculously smart so idk if I can say you're any different. Good luck though.

i give you about 10% acceptance. your SAT I and II are pretty bad. There is absolutely zero correlation between your class rank and SAT scores. your GPA is ridiculously inflated, (4 on BC when about 30% students get 5's?). your SAT II scores are way below average but SAT I is around average. I give you 10% because of your ec's. On top of that, your ec's are not even nationally known. They seem to be just random 'awards' given to students in the community. I am also in USTA and i know that being 20th in west michigan does not really say much. This is my opinion for your chances on regular decision. for plme... i give 0%.

From the horse's mouth:

Test Score Ranges (Mid 50%)
Test Name High Low Avg.
SAT I Verbal: 750 640 690
SAT I Math: 740 650 700
Combined: 1480 1310 1390

So your reported SAT scores are not significantly low.

intlgreen, do you happen to know what class year those SAT averages are from? and when you say "low," (like 650 for math) does that mean the bottom 25% of scores, or the cut-off score for that section?
