And I have a question for the wash interview. Do they call to do one, or do I have to schedule it myself?

If you could please help me out it would be greatly appreciated! Also if possible, please give chances for Harvard, Cornell, UCLA/B, USC.

bump any ideas?

looks like your school really is competitive if 4.3 uw is not in top 10%! IMO good chance, URM makes even a little better. focus a lot on band, and any leadership?

Have you visited? WUSTL is really big on showing interest.

the only leadership i had in band was the section leader. I did my short answer on that.

yeah i heard about them being big on showing interest, but my parents didn't have the time or money to fly me to any of the schools to go visit. i asked them to send me a video tour of their school if that counts for anything lol.

thanks for the thoughts.

I think you have an excellent chance. Strong coursework, solid SATs, the National Hispanic Scholar Finalist will really help you. UW GPA is not sky high, but I think the strength of your program will offset. If there's any way you can get yourself out there in the near future and then drop your regional representative a note, I think that would be good.

thanks lurkness. you lowered my worries a bit. i really wanna go to washu. btw, for the interview, do they contact me? or do i have to schedule it on my own?

I'm sorry, I don't know about the interview. Just e-mail someone in the admissions office. Best of luck!

BUMP:

anyone know if the interview is mandatory? I still havent recieved a call from the admissions office.

Not mandatory!
