What are my chances?

Heyy, I'm Chinese and from NYC. My SAT score was 2260 (math 790, writing 740, verbal 730), SAT IIs were 800, 780, 720, 710, 680 (Bio, USH, Math IIC, Spanish, Chem), I had a cousin in Swat, my counselor rec was really good, my teacher recs were pretty good, and my essay was really good. My GPA out of 100 is 92.1.

My ECs are:

Model UN
Volunteer at NY Aquarium
Volunteer in Central Park with Ranger Conservation Corps.
Tutoring
Ultimate Frisbee team founder and starter

random other summer programs and some hobbies (biking, languages, history, medicine, anime, korean dramas, travelling)

So, what do you guys think?

what schools do u want to apply to?

Yale, Swarthmore, Brown, Dartmouth, BU, JHU, Bowdoin, UPenn

Hmm, what's your rank in your school, and what major are you going for? I'm guessing more the biology type. Your SAT score is a good, and the cousin certainly helps...

But your ECs, you need more leadership positions. Swarthmore wants people who will change the world, and from your ECs it seems like only two of them really relate to biology, not good.

With your ethnicity too, I'm guessing a mid-to-high reach. Good luck though!

For your other schools...

Yale- reject
Swarthmore - waitlist
Brown - waitlist
Dartmouth - maybe accept
BU - in with scholarship
JHU - in with scholarship
Bowdoin - in with scholarship
UPenn - reject

This question was aimed at Swat, but other school chances would be good too.

Oh, school doesn't rank, it's a magnet school. Hunter College High School, you may have heard of it?

my cousin goes to hunter college high school (new york right?). that's really cool =).

anyway i go to swat. i would say that your grades and scores are definitely in swarthmore's range, but your ECs are not as strong as your academic credentials. if your essays (especially your 'why swat?' one) were really good, i think you have a good shot.

yea i think it was a good essay hahaha

Does anyone else have an opinion for me? I have some more ECs too: Columbia University Science Honors Program (SHP), Lab Assistant,

March – May 2005 Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History at New York Historical Society.

how rare

do colleges recognize it as a sport?
i play for a nonschool affiliated organization against teams that have varsity statuses at their respective high schools, and we're better than some.
think any colleges will take not of this?

i dunno if i can get any signatures...cause it's run by 17-18 year olds.
