What are my chances?

Hey everyone. I'm sure you've gotten plenty of questions regarding the topic of "chances," but I can't help but ask mine...

Things working against me:
My school is very new. The best college anyone from my high-school has gone to would be University of Texas.
My older brother never finished college. My older sister is going to a community college. My mom never finished college. My Dad has an MBA.
I'm a middle-class female Caucasian W.A.S.P., and probably will need financial aid.

What are my chances?

Very strong chances for the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. Very low chance for the Engineering school, School of Communications, and for the Medill School of Journalism. Good chance for SESP. To which school did you apply?

I applied to Weinberg. I thought about SESP, but decided not too due to the diversity of Weinberg (Sociology and Biology are 2nd and 3rd choice majors, and Weinberg has those two also).

My essay was about teenage driving from the city-council and our involvement in launching and creating a new program in Texas.

My opinion is that you will almost certainly be admitted to the College of Arts and Sciences. I am an adult, but I have close contact with many schools, and know that the advising at CAS and SESP is outstanding. If you were not admitted, to what other schools would you apply? As this is a Northwestern thread, you may want to ignore my last question. Based on your second post, consider Washington University in St. Louis. Although you are a likely admit, Northwestern's applications have risen dramatically over the past two years and, as an admit or deny early decision school, you need to prepare for the worst. This is the single most competitive year ever for college admissions. Since you are already admitted to Texas and Texas A&M, you are in a great position and may want to include this information with your financial aid application after you receive notice of acceptance.

Probably University of Chicago and Stanford. I've technically already been admitted to University of Texas and Texas A&M due to Texas' "top 10% of the class" rule, and am also considering those due to the cost differences.

what city do you go to school in? i'm north of dallas (mckinney)

Your transcript sounds pretty acceptable, as are your SATs, but your APs 9except Psych) and SAT IIs are not impressive by NU standards.
Also, are there leadership roles in your ECs? What depth of interest/commitment have you shown?
ED will help a little.
You've got a fair shot.
Good luck!
