--please let me know what you think. I"m really nervous and don't think i'll get in.

You have a fair chance (though your GPA might hurt you some)... but why not just wait 2 weeks and see for yourself? It's kind of pointless to ask for your chances after you've already sent in your application. It's a done deal by now. Good luck!

you're completely right. I'm just really nervous because at my school they only allow us to apply to 6 private schools so I'm kind of scared I"m not going to get into any of my schools : (

You look good, but don't bother rationalizing your chances. Just wait for your letter and accept what they give you. Trying to make sense of it will kill you.

thank you all for answering and reassuring me. And you're all right: i should just stop worrying and read the letters when i get back from Spring Break.

The only thing that might turn them off is the fact that you took the SAT II Chinese test instead of another language, but this only applies if you're Chinese. A lot of Hispanics at my school take the AP Spanish test without taking the class and get a 5 or the SAT II Spanish and get perfect scores or high 700 scores.

On second thought, the Chinese language is a much more difficult language to master so actually they will probably be quite impressed with a perfect score....Please disregard my last post.

I'd say it depends on how competitive your school is. From a good, not great school, I think your GPA is an obstacle and you SAT is on the low side of good enough (1460 is dead on).
Does your school rank?

Also, a great essay would go a long way with your stats: they're good enough and with an essay/rec boost that could get you in.
