<p>Hi, this is my first time posting on this site. I am looking to get into A&M's Petroleum engineering school or business school.</p>

SAT: 1980, 750 math and 590 critical reading
class rank: 26%, maybe 25% now
4 year varsity swimmer (regional qualifier)
3-4 clubs
150+ volunteer hours</p>

<p>I'd do it just to be safe. You find in things dealing with college the word "optional" is more closely meaning "you should do it". But you'd probably be fine without it.</p>
