I dont know what I would like to major in quite yet. I am thinking along the lines of Political Science or Business.

Since I am junior I am not completely sure where I am going to apply. But what are my chances at these schools: Vanderbilt, University of Michigan, Georgetown, Cal-Berkley????

You're probably in at U of M... I'd give you an "average" chance at Georgetown, and Berkley is hard to get into for out-of state students....

Also what are you SAT II, SAT I, and AP scores?

I haven't taken any type of SAT test. And I am taking my first AP class this year, so i will take the AP tests in May. Do you have any idea on my chances for Vanderbilt?? and does Cal-Berkley require the SAT??

University of Michigan - match
Vanderbilt - low reach
Georgetown - low reach
UCB - high reach

north_face,

Do you have any suggestions for what I should attempt to bolster to make those schools that are a "reach" a "match"?? ACT scores?? more AP's???

Does Cal-Berkley reequire the SAT?

homerunhitter3:

Sorry for the delayed response. I think a good SAT score or a higher ACT score could help a lot. That, combined with strong essays and recommendations, could get you into those schools. I don't think any of them are huge reaches. You've done the most important and hardest to change, and that's getting good grades and becoming involved. GL!

I'm almost certain that Cal Berkeley takes either the ACT or the SAT.
I would assume that most of the students who apply to Cal actually do take the SAT over the ACT though.
I would highly recommend you take a couple of SAT II's. Some schools require 2 of them, but I'm not sure if any of yours do. It would def help if you get a good score.
I would say that you are well qualified for most of your schools.
I think you have a good chance of Berkeley.
