I have applied to the following universities for a major in aeronautical/aerospace engineering major:

-Purdue University
-Embry Riddle University
-Penn State
-The university of Arizona
-University of Michigan Ann arbor
-WPI
-Virginia Tech
-University of Washington
-MIT (I know that there are no chances of getting in but who knows...)

I am from Greece and the official educational system is not recognized in the US (except from The university of Arizona but even there things aren't that clear). My GPA should be around 3.2-3.5 (I say "should be" because here we don't have the same grade system). I have a TOEFL iBT score of 102/120 and I have given the SAT I test in October(still waiting the results), I also have two subject test and another try for SAT I in December.

The following universities: Purdue, Embry, Arizona, Washington and Penn state assured me (I spoke over the phone with admission officers) that an international student doesn't need SAT tests do be admitted. I am giving the SAT's for the rest universities. I also have two good recommendation letters if that helps in any way. My question is what are my chances to be admitted to the above universities? (OK don't give answers about MIT because there is no point :D)

What are your ECs or “specialities”? For many of these colleges, test scores and transcprits alone will not provide enough insight on your personality, interests, and passions. I’d say that if your interests reflect what you intend to major in, then you have a pretty good chance. Do well on your essays! and good luck :)

If by specialties you mean activities then I could add these:

I have taken private pilot license lessons (Both practical and theoretical) although I haven’t managed to get my license yet. I have work experience with CAD and 3D printing equipment (rapid prototype systems), Boy scouts member and I have taken part to a lot of activities regarding the environment and helping the community.

Your GPA is a little on the low side for Penn State, though a 3.5 would probably be enough. If your SAT scores are good you should go ahead and send them. Also, PSU is looking for a 19 on the speaking part of the TOEFL IBT.

The TOEFL part I think is OK because I have: 26 reading, 27 listening, 22 speaking, 27 writing(102 total).
Except from Penn state how are my chances for Purdue, Embry and Washington?

What are my chances to get in the above graduate schools ???
