Hi My daughter applied around 10/16. We confirmed that UConn had all documents on October 28th, but still have not heard anything. What are her chances?
Sat's
Math - 660
Reading - 570
Writing - 530

Class rank 36/420

Took all honors classes last year and has 2AP and 1 Honor class this year.

In 2 clubs (one as VP)
Works 17+ hours a week.

Don’t know what the chances are, but my son got his acceptance yesterday.

SAT M630 CR640, ACT 29, GPA 3.8

I know it’s not exactly the same scores but it might help. He sent in his app. around Oct. 15, applied to the school of engineering if that makes a difference. He doesn’t have a class rank because we moving at the beginning of his jr year.

ThePhilosopher-do you know anything about scholarship $? It seems like a lot are receiving 1/2 tuition with lower stats, but my son did not receive anything. He has lots of community service (a couple weeks every summer on mission trips, key club, church activities), NHS, band, jazz & marching, science olympiad, plus several class awards. I’m not sure if this is the problem, but we moved at the beginning of his jr year, and his HS will not rank him until after 4 semesters, which will be after he graduates. Do you think it would be helpful if I called UConn with my concerns or is it just something that won’t happen?

wpas12: I would definitely encourage your SON to call the admissions office and find out why he did not receive scholarship money. If he is missing information, perhaps he can supply what is necessary.
