How did you get your new SAT scores? From what I understand, they don’t come out until May.
I don’t have them yet, but I consistently scored 1600 on the practice ones, and I felt the same about the one I took, so for the purpose of this thread I’m assuming I got a 1570. I am planning to retake in May and June if I have to.
Right now, its a high reach from me, but ivies are reaches for everyone.
No one on CC can really judge you accurately because we really don’t know you situation. We (CC) have seen kids with a perfect SAT score on the first try and 4.0 GPAs with tons of EC get rejected from ivies, yet I know someone who got into Cornell with an 1800 on the old SAT. Colleges view your application holistically and they compare you to kids at your school as well.
Your EC look fantastic by the way. But again, compare yourself to other kids at your school. Do you know any high-achieving seniors at your school? They can probably give you a better insight than we can
Ivies/Stanford are up in the air and can range from low reach to high reach depending on gender and race. Asian male will mean you are fighting very tough competition from the applicant pool. But I think you will get into a less selective ivy and some other top schools, maybe NU or JHU. If you can get national recognition, ivies/stanford become much more attainable.
