You should post this in the ‘What are my chances’ section of ‘college admissions’

If you can get around 1800-2000 on the SAT, you should have a good shot at UCI,UCSD, UCD, and UCSB. UCLA is very competitive so it would be a medium-high reach. I’m not familiar with Chapman University, so I can’t chance you. Your high gpa will definitely help you. Do you know what your class rank is?

First of all, this is supposed to go in the Chances thread.

But I would say if you write a killer admissions essay, you could get in any of them.

Last Thursday night, we attended a reception in our area for students who will be starting at Chapman later this month. A rep from the school gave a presentation; she said the average SAT score for admitted freshman in this incoming class is 1885. That’s a bit higher than previous years. The number of applications was also up considerably over past years.

As with many colleges, your chances of admission also have a lot to do with the major you wish to pursue.
