<p>I'm a Indian male who just completed my Junior year in high school, in California.</p>
<p>I am hoping to apply to a UC for a degree in science, related to biology or biotech or biochem or something in that field, I'm not sure yet. I may also want to go on to a medical school after 4 years.</p>

Total GPA is 3.61/3.44
10-12 GPA is 3.50/3.23</p>
<p>Which one of these GPAs will UC admissions look at? What schools are my grades competitive for? Which UCs do I even have a chance at?</p>
<p>For my SAT, I got 2220. 700 CR, 780 Math, 740 Writing (Essay score 8)
(I will retake this in October, hopefully to improve)</p>
<p>I took the Math SAT II, but only got 690 on that.
I took the Biology M SAT II and Physics on June 2011.</p>
<p>I took the AP tests for all of my APs, dont know their scores yet.</p>
<p>I have a Black Belt in Karate and have been doing that for more than 5 years.
I participated in the debate team in my school.
I also have around 20-30 volunteer hours, and am planning on doing 100+ this summer.
I also got selected for the first round of NMSQT selection, but I don't know if I will receive the letter of commendation or go on to the next rounds.</p>
<p>What advice can you helpful people offer me? What UCs do I have a chance at? What other colleges and universities should I be looking at? Thank you all for helping out.</p>
