What are some colleges that I should look into for computer science?

Recently I decided that I want to open up more opportunities than apply to one or two schools. What schools should I apply to that are reasonably close to the New York/New Jersey area that are good for computer science? Sadly, I have not taken SAT II's so that hurt my chances with some schools. However, I am still looking for other options.

Thoughts:
I did Rutgers as a safe school. (New Brunswick)
and I think I am going to apply to Stevens Institute of Technology, but I was wondering how good their Comp Sci is because I don't really see them in the top charts for comp sci. and not like top 5 but like top 50.

Besides CMU and MIT, Rutgers, Stony Brook, Maryland, Massachusetts - Amherst, Virginia Tech, and Penn State are obvious ones in your area. However, check the net price calculators to see if you can afford them.

cant do MIT or CMU. Rutgers im in. Penn state doesn’t offer merit based scholarships so im very hesitant. Virginia Tech sounded alright. I don’t think I’m going to do Maryland or Massachusetts. Stonybrook is NYIT right?

Where can you get in? You didn’t mention GPA or SAT scores.

Stony Brook is a SUNY, but is different from NYIT.
