What are some good BA/MD programs for me specifically

I really really want to do one of these BA/MD programs, so here is my criteria:

I dont care about the U-grad school, but I want a good grad med school that has good reputation. Yes, I’m a prestige whore.

I perfer not having to take the MCAT, but if nothing else matches up, then I’ll do it.

3 Must guarentee that I get into a medical school.

I should have a pretty decent shot at it with my stats:

So what would you recommend I apply to. And please if I cant get into any, dont be afraid to say it. I’ll be more upset if I see 3429438534 views and not 1 reply because ur afraid to criticize me.

sat/act scores?

whoah 500 people in your school- so small.
My class of 2007 has a 1000 people

I think it might be ur class rank that you need to improve.

It depends on what you call as "prestigous." Im assuming that prestigous means PLME (Brown Medical School), Rice/Baylor, HPME (Northwestern Medical School), or Boston Univeristy. Those programs are incredibly hard to get into and you really need nice SATs and ECCs and all that stuff. SAT I is VERY important.

which ones do not completely emphasizes on sat

Actually there are a quite a few of them that will take an ACT score, which is alot easier IMHO.

SAT is only at a few schools, namely boston

sat scores are very important. A 2100 isn't going to get you close to top programs. in fact, you really need a 2200 to have good chances at any of the programs.

I think that is nuts, but neccesary. They probably don't want to admit people that are just going to drop out later, but still I don't that that one standardized test should provide an overall indicator of an applicant.

It's too bad that schools these days can't use one unified curriculum as to take all that application weightage from standardized tests off.

im sorry, but i find that ridiculous to over emphasize on one test. They should look at all criteria with equality. O well

foodisgood, is a 1510 m+v competitive for getting a Penn State interview or should i take it again?

1510 is cutting it close but should be ok. 1500 was pretty much the unoffical cutoff for the 05-06 season.

ive been looking for a place to post this... im interested in ba/md programs in general and i have pretty competitive school grades and ecs and everything but i got a 730 on the chem SAT2...how much will this impact acceptance?? its really been bugging me

The obvious advice is not to apply to programs that require the chem SAT 2. I got a 680 on my chem SAT 2, so I didn't apply to places like HPME (and also I didn't love other things about HPME).

Rice/Baylor is one selective one that doesn't require it. ;)

Although - 730 is a decent score, so you don't need to totally rule out a program you love because of it.
