what are some of the hardest courses in college?

I want to know about classes that most students have a difficulty with in college? and how to succeed in them?

Organic Chemistry ;) I Haven't taken it, but ive heard its a horrible course. also if youre into computers, a class on hardware and software architectures is very hard as well.

Once I heard that thermodynamics or physical chemistry is a killer.

Orgo Orgo Orgo Orgo Orgo

I took orgo and physical chemistry the same semester. (Not recommended.) Thought that orgo was actually easier - there is more material, but it's easier material - no high-level math combined with physics combined with thermo for a good time.

from what i've heard and experienced myself
1. Ochem (chem E)
2. Electrical engr course that has to do with electromagnetic, wave, and quantum physics
3. thermodynamics (ME)
4. aerodynamics (Aerospace E)
5. Advanced circuit design (EE, CompE)
6. Advanced mechanics of material (engineering mechanics)

Basically most engineering classes are hard

Partial differential equations (engineering)

organic chemistry and thermodynamics are killers. absolute hell.

A close second for the people who cant do math is calculus the delt-epsilon proof make a lot of people switch.

Calculus hard, be real. As a statistics major I laugh at that. My current advance math class are so much more difficult than Calculus. Calculus was childish.

PDEs are so not childish. This is far worse than calc 1&2.

Yea, I was just refering to Calc 1, 2, and 3. Not PDE. I would like to point out however, that Mathematics major must take more PDE than Engineers do, and more difficult PDE classes too.

i dont know about at your schools, but calc 3 is a tough course here. i know a lot of people that have struggled with it - but i know a lot of people who have done very well. it seems to be one of those courses where you either get it right away, or you wont get it at all.

Calc 3 isn't a tough course, it just seems tough but in reality it isn't. Courses in Modern Algebra, Mathematical Proofs, Advance Linear Algebra, Partial DE, Probability theory, Advance Calculus are all much more difficult.

some courses that yuo thinnk would be easy get hard, when you find out your treacher is from like china or india and has a think accent and you cant understand anything they are saying and have to get inet notes to pass the class, heard about it lots of times

Just so true, I have had teachers from Europe who speak with a very strong accent, very difficult to understand what they are saying.

I have an Indian friend, and her father is an anesthiologist, and is extremely difficult to understand, so I can see how difficult having a professor with a heavy accent can be

Calc II is the hardest Calc course when taken in context. I've had three years of college math, and I've had a teacher from Nigeria, Japan, and Russia.

In your opinion calc 2 is the hardest, but for most people it isn't, what was your major to have 3 years of college math.

I know specifically for most people it is the hardest. My academic advisor said that students specifically say that Calculus II is the hardest of the calculus classes (I, II, III). It certainly wasn't hard for me, but that is what my academic advisor told me. I don't know why he would lie.

There is math beyond the Begining Calc series. Again those courses I listed before are all more difficult than the Calc series. I personally don'y see how Calc 2 is more difficult than Modern Algebra, Advance Calculus, Prob Theory, or even PDE.
