What are some safety schools for a 2280 SAT, 3.9UW GPA student?

I'm an international student doing college search. I would like some suggestions for safety schools (both liberal arts and universities).
Without giving away my identity I can say that I'm very interested in Classics, philosophy, and film studies. I have a good range of leadership positions and internships. Oh, I'm also a male applicant from China.

Thank you!

Are you applying as a philosophy major or something else?

Not sure yet, probably undecided. Classics, philosophy, art, or comparative literature.

UIUC GS, Rutgers SAS/MG (for MG, portfolio pending)…

what is SAS/MG??

Rutgers SAS: School of Arts and Sciences
Rutgers MG: Mason Gross School of the Arts

Any location you’d prefer? Do you need financial aid?

Well based on where you want to go geographic-wise, look into UChicago, NYU, UMich Ann Arbor, and if you’re considering Canada, try U of T! It all depends on where you want to go.

How is Uchicago a safety? Lol

I don’t have location preference and I’m paying full tuition.

Oh my bad haha. I forgot how this thread was about safeties.

+1 for Rutgers… pretty good school for Philosophy, easy to get into.

Will you need financial aid? If yes, how much? If you don’t need aid, many good schools like Gettysburg and Lawrence would serve as wonderful safety schools. Look into Sarah Lawrence too, I think it would be a very good fit for your academic desires, and given you write nice essays there should be no problem getting in there.
