What are the 3 hardest AP classes and tests?

AP (Foreign) Literature
AP Music Theory
AP Latin Literature

I don’t think Biology belongs there… It’s fairly challenging but not THAT bad.

AP Calc BC
AP Physics B
AP Spanish Lang or any language exam

(I’ll be taking all those next year >_<)

ansar… right on with Latin Lit…

physics B is not hard, it is extremely easy

Not for me. I got a 5 in lang. and a 1 in Calc BC :(

At my school AP Chem is considered one of the toughest classes, exam wise I thought AP Physics B was quite tough but not impossible.

I would imagine that the languages are pretty difficult if you are not a native speaker which I am not, but I have taken Calc BC, English Language and US History and I thought they were very reasonable. I know that less than half of test takers get above a 3 on US history, I suspect it is because that is the test most people take, not because how difficult it is.

hahaha, calculus. if you’re talking about AB, that’s the easiest AP exam ever, besides computer science and perhaps statistics and music theory. BC is not as easy but is not one of the 3 hardest AP classes. Also biology isn’t that hard either. US history is a hard one, as well as English Lit.

"Not for me. I got a 5 in lang. and a 1 in Calc BC "

how did you do that? english language is one of the hardest, and you have to get 90% of the problems wrong to get a 1 in BC. I’m not trying to be insulting, but you probably studied too hard for english and neglected what you thought would be easier, but that led to your brilliant results in english while your poor results in match. a 1 in BC = a 2 in AB. did you take AB the year before? if not that explains something more.

tie for 1st: both Physic C courses/exams
2nd: depending on who you are, Chemistry or USH

To the peeps saying AP computer science is hard.

I’ve taken AP computer science, and I thought the test was ridiculously easy. I didn’t study at all. As long as you’re good at programming in general and problem solving, and remember some syntax, the AP CS exam is a piece of cake.

You’d don’t have to be a native speaker to find AP Spanish a breeze. My S found it his easiest AP test to date. Granted, he attended a language immersion elementary school, so he’s been with Spanish since K but neither he or we are native speakers.

AP (any foreign language for non-natives)

And by the percentage of takers getting 5s:

 • AP English Language
 • AP US History

both the ap english tests. the rest are easy - doable.

My opinion:

AP Latin (or any language for that matter)
AP Physics B
AP US History (because I don’t like history)

I’d have to say that the AP Psych test was the easiest exam I’ve ever taken. I studied, yeah, but only because I’m super anal about that kind of stuff and got a 4 on it (which was good since I didn’t do much of my work in the class at all) - so I would suggest taking that if you want an interesting class without the pressures of the other ones.

The APUSH test is significantly harder in my opinion. There’s a lot of little dates and nuances to remember and a lot of the questions are very debatable. I kept having to put myself in the “test maker’s” shoes and talk myself through some of the ridiculous questions about Acts and/or minor battle events. The Revolutionary Era is hard to remember in my opinion because there is so much going on, a million Acts to remember, and the Civil War battles that are close to that era have too many small battles to count with random people.

The easiest sections of the APUSH test fall in more recent things - which either could be attributed to how much we’ve all heard about the atomic bomb, the civil rights era, and the Cold War- or the obviousness of the questions.

Either way, the hardest on my list would be APUSH, AP Lit, and AP Calc. By far.

Hardest:
Physics C: E/M
APUSH
Lit
Chem

Is AP FRench hard?

Ap calc BC, Ap Chem, Ap CompSci.

APUSH does not require any knowledge of dates besides independence day, if even that.
