<p>At the risk of getting flamed AGAIN, I would hazard that the average SSAT scores for these schools is 80-90%. I was told by an AO at one of the schools you list that “they like to see above 80%”…but I’ve also seen follks here cite a 90% benchmark.</p>
<p>I’d say maybe if you’re an international who needs financial aid you should aim for at least 93rd percentile (in addition to lots of community service, leadership, sports etc.). </p>
<p>If you’re a good athlete (and I mean recruitable standards) then aim for about 78th to 92nd will be more than adequate. </p>
<p>If you’re donating a building and are an average all A’s student with some sport and music etc here and there – 83rd percentile. </p>
<p>If you simply don’t need FA and you’re a citizen and an average student like the one above, 87-98th percentile. </p>
<p>If you have the most amazing interview where you make the interviewer laugh at hilarious jokes and he can’t stop laughing or he/she cries with you – 83rd percentile. </p>
<p>This is my overall impression from what I’ve seen and heard on this website and other sources. Feel free to slash me.</p>
<p>Just aim for no sections in the 70s and do well on everything else.</p>
