What scores (700s 600s) must you receive on one's SSATs to get into Exeter? Andover? St. Pauls?

They place a greater emphasis on percentiles.

Yes, I know(: but as I’m prepping for the test I would just like to see where I stand… So what–more or less–scores do you think they would accept?

Andover SSAT percentile average is 95% Percentile (Overall)
It’s really good to get a 97-99%

Honestly, as long as you get above 85% overall then you should be good. Aim for a 2200 or above.

Kenkhnoh- that’s not true. Andover’s average SSAT overall for accepted students is 92%. Exeter’s is about 90%. So if you want to get into Exeter I would shoot for mid 90’s (I don’t know what raw score that would be)

Remember, it’s an average. They will accept kids above and below the average. Besides, the SSAT score is only one part of the app.

yeah that’s true. What my interviewer told me was that if you’re overall is in the high 80’s or low 90’s then it doesn’t really affect your chances, if it’s below 85 or so then it will hurt your chances, and if it’s like 97 or above it helps your chances. So if you have good ECs then just shoot for high 80s

Okay, that helps a ton! thanks! also, i’ve been taking these practice SSATs and I generally score around 96-98%. How are the practice tests and actual test comparable?

It depends.

Some people find practice tests easier because there is less stress when taking them.
Some people find the actual test easier because they are fully focused on it.

You need to take the practice test under proper ‘real test’ situations.
