What are the chances of a not so picture perfect asian

I have a gpa of 3.25 my act was a 21. I know that's very low but I plan on doing ****** this summer and am hoping for a miracle of atleast a five point increase. I've calculated if I get straight a's my senior year I will have a 3.43 gpa unweighted. Im involved in fbla, drama, guitar ensemble, church youth band, working on community service hours this summer. I am asian and male and I started my own clothing line in the spring of 2008. Im interested in business (economics, entreprenerial studies, and maybe communications-advettising)

I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Definitely raise the ACT score and go for the higher GPA. Dayton is a great school but it’s really not that competitive in admissions.

I would agree with Sparkles. I think you will get accepted. The other experience I, and others, have had with UD is that they spread their scholarship money out among average students. They do not award most high achievers with full rides.

I don’t mean to be negative about UD because it is a fantastic place.

I visited Dayton last week and loved it, definitely #1 on my list. Guidance counselor says that I have some chance at getting in, but after looking at the admissions profile online, I’m not so sure. Had poor grades freshmen and sophomore years of HS, but great grades junior and senior years (so far). So my GPA is low (2.49), have not very good SAT’s (720 CR and 510 Math) and a great essay (so I’ve been told). Lots of community service and activities. Does Dayton consider improvement at all? Do I even have a chance at admission? Do I need to look at a less selective school? Thanks.
