I think if you had applied right away you would've secured your admission really easily. But now as spots are filling up, your chances still look good but it's not a 100% guarantee in my opinion. I guess that will depend what major you applied for though...

Anyways I am an out of state Asian too, had really, really similar stats, and got in. 3.4 GPA (but really bad class rank, like not even top 25%), 26 ACT/1170 old SAT or 1850 w/ Writing. Only difference is I applied in early/mid September to College of Arts and Sciences to give you an idea. I think you should be good to go but honestly Indiana isn't as big of a joke to get into as some people think. It may be easier than some of the other Big Tens, but it looks like they are trying to raise their standards a bit. Some guy from my school got rejected with like the same GPA as me and a 28 ACT. He may have applied for business though...

Apparently IU raise their standard...When I applied last year in Jan. with 1210 (720 Math 490 Verbal) SAT, 3.1 GPA, out of state...but I got accepted....and I am an Asian too

yea IU had to raise standards since the overall level of applicants this year is higher. unfortunately many students will get rejected who would have been accepted in less competitive years.
