What are the chances of being accepted after deferral?

What are the chances of being accepted after an ED deferral? Also... for people who were deferred.. what did you do after that?

I got deferred and I sent a letter saying how much I loved Colby and how much i would fit in there, and I also sent an extra recommendation. I have no idea what kind of chances we have...

Gib0, good strategy in any case of deferral. As the school year draws to a close, if you decide to stay on the waitlist, you might want to provide info on graduation honors and prizes, and of course your final grades. Be persistant in tooting your own horn.

But the best strategy is to start looking at your other schools in a new light, and once you get your acceptances, to visit them with an open mind. It is ultimately painful to hope late into summer, when the waitlist stats are so dismal, and not embrace fully the schools that really want you.

Colby's acceptance numbers may be below 30% this year, making the likeliness of reaching deep into the waitlist quite low.

That said, I wish you both much success getting in!

sorry, meant to say persistent!
