Hi there! I go to a really small southern school and I am a freshman. Here, no one is allowed to take AP classes as a freshman. I just signed up for my sophomore classes and I will be taking 3 AP classes. All my friends were like "you're crazy" and "Wow you have no life!"
I am taking:
AP Biology (supposed to be one of the hardest AP classes)
AP Psych (easy)
AP Environmental (fairly easy.)

AP Biology is probably going to be hard for its memorization, theres A LOT of memorization. The chapters are usually 20ish pages with each page needing to be memorized essentially. Each sentence usually provides important info needed for a good grade. Then the labs might be a problem depending on how anal your teacher is.
Psych is memorization as well, but not nearly to the same extent. From what i remember, your essentially memorizing 120ish words or so as well as knowing the parts of the brain, ear, nervous system and how to conduct an experiment.
Environmental is a very very easy exam. But dont get cocky, it actually has the fewest 5’s percentage wise (probably because people underestimate it and study for other ap’s). A lot of it will be basic knowledge plus a bit more. If your up to date on energy sources, chemistry, atmosphere, pollution problems, etc. you should do well. However, PLEASE NOTE, APES is known for a heck of a lot of needless work. Most of your hw will feel useless and busy work on a slightly elevated level.

For me:
Hardiest:
Calculus BC (1st Test is bugging me)
Environmental Science (sloppy when it comes to details and labs)
Microeconomics (Underestimated it)
World History (Soooo much work)

Easiest:
Macroeconomics
United States History (Great Teacher and I love history)
Statistics (Only Fair teacher Ive had in regard to test difficulty, workload)
Calculus AB (Not necessarily the easiest but one of the funnest classes)

For me, the hardest were:
Comparative government (teacher was asked to stop teaching it after last year)
World history (so much work)
Calc BC (at my school, the class is much harder than the AP)

Chem was by FAR the hardest for me. Partly because of a crappy teacher. but apparently it was for everyone else too, because the curve was ridiculous… I ended up getting an undeserved 5 when I was confused on half of my FRQ.

Government was the first class I got a B in, partly because of senioritis/difficulty of teacher, but I believe it would’ve been an extremely hard class for me even without those factors. Nothing makes sense in there. It’s like pure memorization and it makes me realize how screwed up politics are… ugh I hate it.

Econ is much better than government. I’m so glad Gov was only a semester long.

AP English in general is easy-ish, especially if you’re good at the verbal in the SAT. (I’d say it’s about the same level/bit harder.) I find writing for the Lang MUCH easier than Lit.

Psychology is a joke, as well as Stats.

Bio is hard. But then again the teacher is hard here as well.

Calculus was easy-ish for me. but we had an excellent teacher. It’s an okay class, I guess.

Art history is hard, especially when you’re not interested in the subj. A LOT of memorizing.

World History is okay. Human Geography is okay. I thought it was sort of hard, but I was a fish.

U.S. History is okay. Personally I disliked the subject so I can’t give you an objective opinion, but it’s one of the most-popular exams taken so the curve is generous. I think.

I plan to take AP Biology next year and I have only taken Physical Science. I shall take the the course online with Aventa or FVLS. I plan to try and do a self study on my school’s general Biology course. Does anyone know a summer Biology course online for high school students? Do you think I will be able to make a 5 in AP Biology?
