So I’m a first year and I went to a school with a high acceptance rate (not really a well-known, important school, but its still college). This school is also far from my home state. I’ve decided that I’m not coming back here next year. I also did really bad my first semester and the school that I wanted to apply to in my home state is no longer accepting transfer applications for the fall. So my plan is to do better this semester, re apply to A DIFFERENT college in my state that I was accepted into last year (with a high acceptance rate, but at least ill be closer to home), spend a semester there and keep getting good grades then apply to the school I really want to go to for the Spring 2017 semester. My main question is, will the college that I really want to go to have negative thoughts about the fact that this would be my second time transferring??
Many people transfer more than once.
But do be sure that you could be happy to finish your degree at No.2 if you don’t get into No.3. If No. 3 is a public university that has guaranteed transfer/articulation agreements for in-state community colleges, a semester or two at a local CC might make more sense.
