Generally what are the people like at University Park?
is everyone a crazy sports fan and partyers?

Lots of school spirit and EVERYONE is super friendly lol.

This is a very broad question. People at Penn State are like people at any other college. Not everyone is into sports or partying.

All kinds…seriously. With 40,000 friends to pick from, you will find friends, and people interested in things that you are interested in. There is EVERY type of people. Jocks, druggies, preps, sorority girls, nerds etc etc If you can’t make friends at PSU, you have a social problem . There is really no one type, because there are so many ppl.

People are friendly for the most part.

terrible.

I’m serious.

I don’t mean to be funny or rude, Scribbles, but with such a diverse student population, if you really feel that way perhaps the problem is with you. You might want to head over to CAPS and find some one to talk to about your feelings. You sound very unhappy.

Yes scribbles, you really aren’t contributing much to positive conversation here on the PSU CC forum.

I have absolute right to say whatever I want, and I have no obligation to please either of you.

you should transfer scribbles.

Oh, I will be.

Also, I want to make it clear that it is possible for someone to not have the best experience at Penn State. There’s good and there’s also the bad.

The academics are excellent, especially with Schreyer Honors. The staff is terrific and supportive.
However, with the housing issue, East is infamous at Penn State. There’s no doubt about that. If I were a prospective student, I would want honest answers.
