How is Penn State UP, for those who don't care for sports

Dont get me wrong, I actively play sports, but dont watch or play competitively. I feel like I would be outcasted by PSU student body if I dont like sports. Is there a good-sized niche for everyone, or should I pursue a different school that fits my social wants?

There are roughly 40,000 students at main campus. Despite what the media/people who have never been a student here would like people to believe, the students are not ALL sports crazed cult members who worship at a football altar :-)

Seriously, you will find friends here no matter what you are interested (or NOT interested) in. There are many, many students who have never set foot inside Beaver Stadium who have an active social life, and receive a great education as well.

Are you aware that there are over 700 clubs and student organizations to get involved in? There is always something going on, or someone to do something with.

^ I completely agree.

I am no football fan, by any means. You will meet a ton of people who don’t really care. Don’t worry.
