What are the provisional terms of the UC contract?

Does anyone know the provisional contract conditions of each campus?

Google is your friend: http://■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/2016/04/your-uc-provisional-contract/

Each provisional contract is unique to the applicant. You can be admitted to the same major at the same UC and have a different provisional based on your application’s strengths, etc.

@Ohm888 I see. Because I’m taking calculus II my spring semester before transferring and i wad afraid if some campus ask me to keep a B and not a C (calculus is pretty hard)

They might. You don’t know. I would hazard a guess the more selective the major and the higher tier the UC, they could.

UCB and UCLA will probably ask you to keep a grade of B or higher. My provisional for UCLA and UCB stated that I had to report any grades if I got a C or lower.

@bigvoot what about other UCs?

This^^^

@ImJustaPerson Probably depends on your major, but I’m a math/math for teaching major and most of the other UCs besides UCLA and UCB asked me to maintain a minimum of C grades for my last semester. If you are doing TAG then you have to keep up the required GPA it asks of you.

You should try to keep up the highest grades as possible even during the last semester before transferring. I got lazy in my last semester and was on verge of getting C’s in my classes because I didn’t know about the provisional agreements, so I had to beat myself up to get A’s in my classes XD. The stress is not worth it.

What @bigvoot is pretty accurate. Most will will reflect what you need to do. There are however things that all students must do. I don’t know about UCB but UCLA for sure requires these three things in addition to whatever they think you need.

-Maintain academic performance. (Maintain the GPA)

-Get no more than 2 Cs in non major prep-courses

-Report any Cs in a major prep-courses and report any Ds or Fs.

I think these 3 things are on every accepted student’s application.
