My friend who was top 25% of her class in Plano, Texas with a 32 on her ACT got a full ride to UTD with a computer science degree. I want to know if there are some requirements that guarantees a full ride to UTD. For example, a 1440 out of 1600 on your SAT guarantees you a full ride to the University of Alabama.
I don’t know about a “full ride”, but the AES honors scholarship is nearly a full ride (Full tuition + $3,000/sem).

However, it is competitive, with the average ACT score of 34, and usually good extracurriculars etc…
The National Merit Scholarship here is a full ride however 
Those requirements aren’t really accurate anymore, at least for this year. I had a 35 ACT and I only got the lowest one, so they must be basing it on other things. Just send in all the info you can to try to get the best one.
@Packrat5000, where did you see the scholarship offer? My D was admitted after Dec 1, so she is I the batch being evaluated now, but we don’t even know where to look to see if she had been offered something.
Each year the scores/class rank/GPA and extras that will get you a full ride change. You are competing against the pool of applicants. Two students with the exact same stats that apply in different years will get different offers.

@4everEpical - Thanks! Although she will only attend there if she is a McDermott Scholar, so I guess it really doesn’t matter that much. We find out Tuesday about finalists!
