On the college prep scholarship application, I need to self-report all my classes taken up to this point. When it asks for the duration of my courses, the options are Term 1, Term 2, Term 3, Term 4, Full-Year, Summer. What should I select if this was a semester long course? Most classes at my high school are one semester (for example, Pre-Calc/Trig is the typical math course for junior year and Spanish 5/6 would be a language course). Should I just select Term 1? I'd select "Full-Year" and just title the class something like "Spanish 5/6," but there were two semester where I got a B 1st semester and an A second semester.

My son didn’t do the college prep scholarship but this sounds like the way the National College Match application is set up as well. He put the class as full term if he had the same grade both semesters, and entered a separate 1st term/2nd term if the grade was different. He was selected finalist, so apparently that worked.

If you’re stressed about it, though, send them an email. They’re good about helping out.

Thank you for your reply. I was surfing around Questbridge’s website and found this FAQ that answers my question pretty well.

Congrats to your son on becoming a finalist!
