<p>Are they just like us, but somehow seeking some sort of revenge against the internet community?</p>

<p>Do they see their work as a sacrifice to internet lolz?</p>

<p>Are they internet anarchists dedicated to sabotaging this pillar of modern life?</p>

<p>They are sensitive cynics who are too nice to be nasty to real people. So they go on the internet, where other people are just bits on a computer. They can release all of their sarcasm and cynicism “without hurting anyone.” So that shy, helpful kid in the back of your math class may be the jerk that’s spamming your blog.</p>
