<p>A varsity team is a sports team that features the best of your school and competes with other schools' best teams. It is essentially the major league compared to other teams below it.</p>
<p>At first i was like what the heck to your question lol but I see you're not from the US.</p>
<p>In high school here, we have athletic teams. People try out or whatever and are placed into either frosh/soph, junior varsity, or varsity depending on their skill.
Varsity being the highest (highest relative to kids at your school).</p>
<p>Well I kind of guessed what it meant but wanted to make sure. In my school we would just call it the school team lol.</p>
