assisting for a couple of research projects; preparing for grad school apps; various athletic activities; maybe go on another road trip before school’s back in session.

I want to go to Europe so baddd. But everything is so expensive, although I heard France wasn’t so bad. I guess that’s another reason for me to work my butt off to maybe get enough money for a round trip.

1) Senior
2) Summer school all summer (3 classes), working 2-3 jobs (3 jobs during May and August, 2 jobs the rest of the summer), going up north a few times, and my boyfriend and I are spending a lot of time with two close friends who will be deployed in July.

1) Senior
2) I have a church music internship at my church. I’ll also be studying for the GRE this summer (I’m taking it in August), and going to my fraternity’s national convention in August. Somewhere in there, I’m going to make sure I have some quality time with my family, since I don’t see them much.

1) Sophomore
2) Working 30-40 hours/week bagging groceries back home, going to six flags next weekend, and my sorority’s national conference in July.

Freshman

Travel; research internship for ~1 month; buying books/supplies; registering for classes; moving into college and getting my residency status sorted out (hopefully)

Sophomore

Summer class, figuring out my major, scheduling, looking for a job, vacationing, hiking, biking, reading, writing, keeping in touch with friends, researching internships for next summer!

Technically a junior, but I’m a transfer student so I’m a non-traditional junior for my major, in terms of what courses I’ve taken. Ahead on my math, behind on everything else, in terms of year number. Anyway, I will be…

…doing physics research in one of the research groups, I got myself a fancy research scholarship and everything! 30 hours a week for eight weeks doing science. I will also NOT be taking classes and I WILL be reading for fun and playing video games and going to the gym 3-4 times a week like I’ve been wanting to. I’ve been going to school for 2.5 years non-stop without any summers off, this will be my first. And I’m burned out and ready for it. No grade pressure for a whole summer, ah…

Junior

Interning (paid!) in NYC

I was debating between pursuing research and finding some corporate opportunity. Chose the latter but my summer would’ve been a great mix of work and play if I’d chosen the former, judging by the workload of my friends who are in my school’s research programs. ]:

1) In Fall 2012, I will be a: Sophomore
2) This summer, I will be: Studying for Clep Exams in Biology and Calculus so that I can hopefully be a junior credit-wise in the fall and actually get some general education classes out of the way.

Also going to the beach for a week. Maybe working on remodeling parts of the house. And learning how to sew.
